CNC hardware processing product quality inspection process and precautions

2025-02-20

The quality inspection process and precautions for CNC hardware processing products are crucial to ensuring product quality. The following is a detailed explanation of the quality inspection process and precautions:

1、 Quality Inspection Process for CNC Hardware Processing Products

Preparation before processing:

The processor needs to carefully review the content of the process card, clarify the part, shape, and drawing dimensions of the workpiece to be processed.

Measure the size of the billet to ensure compliance with the drawing requirements.

When clamping the workpiece, check if its placement is consistent with the programming operation manual.

Rough machining self inspection:

After rough machining is completed, perform self inspection immediately to check whether the workpiece is loose and correctly centered.

Measure the dimensions from the machining area to the reference edge (reference point) to ensure compliance with the drawing requirements.

Check the position dimensions between the CNC machining parts.

Measure the shape and dimensions of rough machining (excluding arcs).

Precision machining self inspection:

After rough machining self inspection, carry out precision machining.

After finishing, perform self inspection on the shape and dimensions of the machining area, including the basic length and width dimensions of the vertical and inclined surfaces, as well as the base point dimensions marked on the drawing.

Special inspection:

After completing self inspection, the workers confirm that the workpiece matches the drawings and process requirements, and then remove the workpiece and send it to the inspector for special inspection.

2、 Precautions for Quality Inspection of CNC Hardware Processing Products

Ensure the accuracy of the machine tool:

Regularly check the calibration and motion accuracy of the machine tool to ensure proper relationships are maintained between all physical components.

Parts evaluation:

Carefully inspect variables such as dimensions, positioning, orientation, surface finish, and contour of the parts.

Process control and monitoring:

Monitor the processes at each level to prevent inefficiencies related to the processes and ensure product quality.

Record and report:

Record the inspection results for future reference and use appropriate auxiliary files to report the inspection results.

Following inspection standards:

Follow the CNC hardware processing inspection specifications established by the company or customer to ensure strict implementation of inspection items and standards.

Handling of special requirements:

For components with special requirements from customers, they must be inspected according to the standards specified by the customer.

Appearance and functional inspection:

Check the outer surface of the product for any defects such as deformation, frayed edges, cracks, pores, dirt, etc.

Conduct trial threading and functional testing to ensure that the product meets design requirements.

Geometric dimensions and tolerances:

Strive to achieve precise geometric tolerances and ensure that the machine can achieve the specified level of accuracy within the minimum error range.
