Precautions for receiving and quality inspection of precision hardware parts

2025-02-20

The receiving quality inspection of precision hardware parts is an important link to ensure product quality and performance. The following are the precautions to be taken when conducting quality inspection of precision hardware parts upon receipt:

1、 Appearance inspection

Check surface defects: Observe whether there are defects such as rust, cracks, deformation, burrs, folds, slag inclusions, pores, etc. on the surface of the parts. These defects may affect the performance and safety of the parts.

Color and glossiness: Check whether the color and glossiness of the parts meet the requirements, which helps to preliminarily determine whether the surface treatment process of the parts is qualified.

Identification and packaging: Ensure that the packaging of the parts is intact, free from damage or stains. At the same time, verify the identification information on the parts, such as brand, model, production date, etc., to ensure consistency with the purchase order.

2、 Dimensional inspection

Selection of measuring tools: Use appropriate measuring tools such as vernier calipers, micrometers, etc. to measure the key dimensions of the parts.

Drawing comparison: Compare the measurement results with the drawing requirements to ensure that the dimensions, thickness, diameter, and other parameters of the parts meet the design requirements. Parts with inaccurate dimensions may affect their assembly and usability.

3、 Performance testing

Mechanical performance testing: Conduct corresponding mechanical performance tests based on the type and purpose of the parts, such as tensile testing, torque testing, etc. These tests help evaluate the performance of the parts in actual use.

Durability testing: For parts that require repeated stress or wear, durability testing is conducted to evaluate their service life.

4、 Combination assembly inspection

Assembly tightness: Check whether the combination of parts and corresponding accessories is tight without looseness to ensure the stability and reliability of the parts after assembly.

Assembly accuracy: For parts that require precise assembly, assembly accuracy inspection is conducted to ensure that they meet design requirements.

5、 Other precautions

Inspection records: Detailed records of various data and information during the inspection process, including inspection date, inspection personnel, inspection results, etc. These records are helpful for subsequent inventory management and product traceability.

Defective product handling: For non-conforming products found during inspection, timely communication with suppliers and seeking solutions should be carried out. At the same time, fill out the defective product review form according to company regulations and have relevant personnel sign to confirm whether to return to the factory for repair or scrap.

Inspection personnel training: Regularly train and assess inspection personnel to improve their professional skills and inspection level. This helps ensure the accuracy and reliability of the inspection results.
